Future Continuous

The future continuous tense, also known as the future progressive tense, is used to describe an action that will be ongoing at a specific point or during a period of time in the future. It is typically formed using the auxiliary verbs “will be” or “shall be” followed by the present participle form (base verb + -ing) of the main verb.

Structure: Subject + will/shall + be + present participle (base verb + -ing)

Here are some examples to illustrate the use of the future continuous tense:

At 7 pm tonight, I will be cooking dinner. In this sentence, the action (cooking dinner) is ongoing at a specific point in the future (7 pm tonight).
They will be traveling to Europe during the summer. In this example, the action (traveling to Europe) will be ongoing during a period of time in the future (during the summer).
By the time you arrive, we will be watching the movie. Here, the action (watching the movie) will be in progress at a specific point in the future (when you arrive).
She will be studying for her exams all weekend. This sentence indicates that the action (studying for her exams) will be ongoing throughout the weekend.

Remember that the future continuous tense can also be used to express polite inquiries about someone’s plans or intentions. For example:

Will you be joining us for dinner tonight? This question is a polite way to ask about someone’s plans for dinner tonight.
