Read or Listen to the following passage:
When I was in middle school, one of my favorite pastimes was playing video games with my friends. We would spend hours on end glued to the TV, playing our favorite games and trash-talking each other as we went.
My favorite game back then was Super Smash Bros. – a classic fighting game featuring Nintendo characters like Mario, Link, and Donkey Kong. I loved the fast-paced action and the strategy involved in outmaneuvering my opponents.
But what made the game even better was playing it with my friends. We would set up tournaments and compete against each other, with the winner earning bragging rights until the next time we played. I still remember the feeling of elation I felt when I pulled off a particularly tricky move or knocked out all of my opponents to come out on top.
Looking back, those were some of the best times of my life. Even though I’ve since grown up and moved on from video games, I’ll always cherish the memories of playing Super Smash Bros. with my middle school friends.
